The beginning of 2024 has been productive, with students tackling bigger concepts such as calculating perimeter and area in Math; the making of a good story (e.g. through sʔi:ɬqəy̓ ’s story); meeting and working with our buddy class; improving our poetry, writing and oral communication; practicing our abilities to record accurate scientific observations; learning about human migration and the pressures that drive it while also beginning to grasp the immense longevity of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm presence on this land.
