Through the end of October and the start of November we have been continuing our exploration of regularities and patterns, emphasizing understanding place value. Furthermore in numeracy, we have begun to look at patterns in time, looking at both digital and analog clocks on the 24 hour system. We also received our first paycheques and wrote-up up our first budgets of the year.

We celebrated fall, with students taking on the role of teacher and showing mini-craft projects and activities to their peers.

Mini-crafts and activities

Our class took on the responsibility of organizing the school Remembrance Day ceremony, we researched topics such the history of Indigenous Veterans in order to present a brief and solemn assembly. Students were courageous, speaking in front of the school, and did a wonderful job!

In science, we started to fill our journals, learning about and drawing pinecone structures.

We learned about Diwali and wrote poems about the light and the dark. While also continuing to research and work on our culture presentations in the library.
